Mohammed-tegningerne har sat sindene i kog. Det betyder, at du skal være ekstra opmærksom på din personlige sikkerhed, både når du rejser ud, og i visse tilfælde også herhjemme, hvis du arbejder i en større international virksomhed.
WOWs ekspert i international sikkerhed, Tanya Spencer, giver nedenstående råd:

Preventing security incidents often start with making informed decisions – and, can make the difference between being a survivor or a victim. Choosing the right hotel room is a good example. Basic criteria include: - Opting for the inner courtyard since it is usually more closely monitored and less likely to bombed than the outer building
- Being near elevator/ stairs for making an easy exit
- Avoid rooms above the 6th floor since the fire ladders in most countries don’t extend higher than this
The best advice is the most simple: Be aware and trust your instincts.
If a terrorist can’t penetrate the building’s security, then what can be more convenient than to create a false alarm to expose the people to an attack? There is no need to be fearful when you hear the fire alarm and you need to evacuate the building. But in these days when many people are angry at Danish businesses and people, it doesn’t hurt to take a few precautions. After you have evacuated your building: - Stay away from glass - the actual bomb is dangerous but the shrapnel from surrounding glass kills more people
- Do not stand near parked cars (especially vans), trash cans or other containers
- Be aware of any bags, packages in the evacuation area
- Be alert to any fast approaching persons, cars or vans
- Don’t use your mobile since it can set off a bomb
